Cafe Mao, the Asian restaurant chain, has become the latest casualty of the Irish recession, with its three Dublin branches forced into receivership over bank debts.

Kenneth Fennell, of the Dublin-based corporate restructuring specialists Kavanagh Fennell, has been appointed receiver by Allied Irish Banks.

Tragus Group launches Bella Italia in London Tragus Group launches Bella Italia in London  
Tragus Group, the casual dining operator, is to open another Bella Italia restaurant in London's West End later this summer.
 
The group, whose portfolio of brands also include Strada and Cafe Rouge, has taken a lease for 65 Strand, a 5,000 sq ft ground floor unit between Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden.
